Bend Bioscience has appointed Pavlos Pavlidis as President and Sandeep Patel as Chief Financial Officer, strengthening its executive leadership team as the pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization expands its operations and capabilities.
Pavlidis joined Bend Bioscience as President on June 15, bringing more than two decades of leadership experience across pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare operations and commercial growth.
He most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Medix Infusion and previously held senior leadership positions at McKesson, AppianRx, UnitedHealth Group and Biogen.
Patel joined Bend Bioscience as CFO in July and brings more than 20 years of investment banking and CFO experience across healthcare, pharmaceutical services and manufacturing, and technology-enabled businesses.
His background includes working with management teams and boards at complex multisite organizations on financial performance, strategic investments and building financial and operational infrastructure for growth.
As President, Pavlidis will oversee operations and execution across Bend Bioscience’s integrated network of development and manufacturing facilities.
Patel will lead the financial organization and support strategic investments and operating initiatives as Bend expands its position as a small molecule CDMO.
Bend Bioscience supports pharmaceutical companies across the drug development and manufacturing lifecycle, from preclinical research through clinical and commercial-scale manufacturing.
Its capabilities include oral delivery technologies such as bioavailability enhancement and modified release.
