Trinity Hunt Partners announced an investment in Berger Consulting Group, establishing a new economic consulting and dispute advisory platform focused on economic damages analysis, forensic accounting, and valuation services. The platform will build on Trinity Hunt’s experience in legal services and its buy-and-build strategy to scale specialized professional services firms.
Founded in 2013, Berger Consulting Group provides economic analysis and damages quantification services for law firms handling labor and employment disputes, primarily in California. The firm supports more than 100 law firm clients and is known for its data-driven analysis and specialized expertise in economic damages and expert testimony.
Berger’s founding partners Bennett Berger, Sean Berger, and Jarrett Gorlick will continue to lead the company following the investment. The partnership is intended to accelerate Berger’s growth while preserving its client focused approach.
As part of the platform launch, industry veteran Gary Buckland has joined as chief executive officer. Buckland previously served as CEO of Lexitas, a litigation support services company that Trinity Hunt acquired in 2014. During his tenure, he led significant organic and acquisition-driven growth and oversaw the company’s 2019 exit to Apax Partners, continuing to lead the business under Apax ownership until early 2025.
Trinity Hunt plans to expand the new platform both organically and through acquisitions, targeting partnerships with firms specializing in economic damages analysis, forensic accounting, and valuation services. The goal is to build a national provider of economic consulting and dispute advisory services serving law firms across multiple practice areas.
The private equity firm manages more than $2 billion in assets and focuses on building services companies in both B2B and B2C sectors by providing operational expertise, strategic guidance, and capital for growth.
