By Amit Chowdhry ● Nov 4, 2025

Bergman & Beving announced the acquisition of 90% of the shares in DataLase Holdings Ltd, a United Kingdom–based company recognized as a global leader in photonic printing technology. The company’s patented inkless printing solutions enable sustainable, high-quality, and customizable printing for product and packaging applications.

Headquartered near Liverpool, DataLase reports an annual turnover of approximately £4 million with strong profitability. The transaction, which places DataLase within Bergman & Beving’s Safety Technology division, will take effect immediately. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive effect on the group’s earnings per share during the current financial year.

DataLase’s proprietary photonic printing technology eliminates the need for conventional ink, enhancing production line efficiency and minimizing waste. The company’s innovative approach aligns with the growing global demand for environmentally responsible printing solutions.

Following the acquisition, Clare Lewis will continue as CEO and retain a 10% ownership stake, ensuring continuity in leadership as the company integrates into Bergman & Beving’s portfolio of niche technology businesses.
