Berlin Packaging Acquires BlueSky To Expand Presence In The UK Market

Berlin Packaging announced the acquisition of BlueSky, a United Kingdom-based provider of packaging solutions serving the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, beauty, personal care, home care, and beverage markets. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition strengthens Berlin Packaging’s presence in the UK and expands its capabilities across multiple end markets. BlueSky brings expertise in plastic, metal, and glass packaging, along with specialized containers, closures, and dispensing systems tailored to customer requirements.

Headquartered in Grimsby, England, BlueSky is a family-owned business that serves small and medium-sized customers throughout the UK. The company offers value-added services including decoration and printing, supported by extensive sourcing capabilities and a consultative approach to customer service.

Berlin Packaging said the addition of BlueSky enhances its portfolio of packaging solutions and complements its existing operations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The deal is expected to provide customers with access to broader packaging options, greater supply chain resilience, and expanded innovation capabilities.

Berlin Packaging is the world’s largest Hybrid Packaging Supplier and provides glass, plastic, and metal containers and closures, along with package design, consulting, warehousing, and logistics services.
