Bettear announced the official launch of Bettear, its U.S. entity, marking a significant step in the company’s global expansion strategy and a focused push into the Americas market.

As part of the expansion, the company appointed Kent Cawthorne as General Manager, Americas. In this role, Cawthorne will oversee operations across the region and drive adoption of Bettear’s professional Auracast broadcast audio solutions across key vertical markets.

Founded nearly six years ago with a mission to improve everyday experiences for hundreds of millions of people worldwide who are hard of hearing, Bettear has emerged as a category-defining player in the developing Auracast ecosystem. As Bluetooth® LE Audio and Auracast standards gain traction across the industry, the company is positioning itself as a leader in enterprise-grade, professionally engineered implementations of the protocol.

The company differentiates its offerings through product quality, system reliability, secure architecture, and deep integration within professional AV ecosystems. Its solutions are built for environments where performance, scalability, and long-term infrastructure stability are critical.

Bettear operates across four strategic pillars: live audio broadcasting, immersive audio experiences, secure broadcast environments, and assistive listening. Its technology serves professional AV environments, higher education institutions, cultural venues, government facilities, and commercial spaces, delivering secure, scalable, low-latency audio directly to personal hearing devices and dedicated receivers.

With distribution channels in more than 60 countries, Bettear has established a global footprint. The launch of Bettear Inc. underscores the company’s view that the United States represents a major growth engine for the next phase of professional Auracast adoption.

Cawthorne brings more than three decades of leadership experience in professional AV and broadcast. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales at Legrand AV, where he oversaw sales strategy for brands including Chief, Da-Lite, Middle Atlantic, and Vaddio. He previously held senior roles at Kramer Electronics USA, PESA, Grass Valley, and Sony Electronics, where he helped build channel networks and drive market growth across North America.

With the establishment of its U.S. entity, Bettear said it is reinforcing its long-term commitment to the U.S. market and expanding support for partners, integrators, and customers across the region.

KEY QUOTES

“The establishment of Bettear Inc. is not simply geographic expansion — it is a strategic commitment to leading the professional wireless audio transformation in the Americas. Auracast will redefine how audio is delivered in professional environments, but technology alone is not enough. Quality, reliability, and system-level innovation are what will define long-term success — and that is where Bettear stands apart.”

Itamar Gabbay, CEO, Bettear

“The professional AV market is entering a structural shift in how audio is distributed and experienced. Auracast represents a foundational evolution, but execution and engineering excellence will determine who leads this transition. I am excited to build this next chapter together.”
