Tracy Bownes joins BGF from LDC, where she served as a Partner. She brings with her extensive experience in the private equity sector, along with a successful track record of working on numerous investments. Throughout her career, spanning over 25 years, Tracy has gained expertise in mergers and acquisitions, as well as commercial leadership. Her experience includes working on more than 30 private equity investments and holding senior roles in various organizations.
In her new role, Tracy will oversee BGF’s dedicated team of ten professionals, who are focused solely on value creation. This team is tasked with providing tailored support to the businesses within BGF’s portfolio, helping them navigate the challenges of growth, improve operational efficiency, and increase overall company value. Her leadership is expected to enhance BGF’s collaborative approach and further embed strategic insights into the firm’s investment decisions.
Tracy’s background includes senior leadership positions at notable companies such as Lumon, where she served as Chief Commercial Officer, playing a key role in scaling the business. She has also held directorships at several well-known organizations, including Moneycorp, BCIS, Sedex, and IGG. Additionally, her experience working with the RBS Special Opportunities Fund involved designing and implementing growth strategies for a diverse range of portfolio companies. This broad sector experience positions her well to guide BGF’s portfolio companies through various stages of growth.
