BioFiltro has secured a $35 million strategic investment from Jordanelle Capital to accelerate the expansion of its regenerative wastewater treatment technology across the dairy, food processing, sanitary, industrial, and municipal sectors. The funding strengthens the company’s ability to broaden adoption of its patented BIDA System and meet rising demand for natural, cost-efficient wastewater solutions.
The Davis, California-based company has built a strong market position with its vermifiltration technology, which converts wastewater into reusable water and nutrient-rich soil amendments while significantly lowering energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and sludge production compared to conventional systems. BioFiltro said the new investment will support expansion both within its core dairy segment and into additional industrial markets seeking sustainable alternatives to traditional treatment infrastructure.
The company provides systems that remove up to 98 percent of contaminants through biological filtration. Its footprint spans North America, South America, and Europe, with rapid growth underway in the United States dairy industry. The partnership with Jordanelle Capital is expected to enable further scaling, broader customer reach, and increased deployment of nature-based treatment solutions across agriculture and other sectors.
Jordanelle Capital, a Utah-based private equity firm, said BioFiltro’s technology and long-term customer relationships align with its investment approach. The capital infusion will support BioFiltro’s plans to advance regenerative wastewater practices, expand operations, and deepen its impact in markets that prioritize environmentally responsible, cost-effective treatment methods.
BioFiltro continues to position itself as a leader in regenerative wastewater technology, offering low-energy, natural systems that help clients reduce operational costs, meet sustainability objectives, and adopt practices that support responsible water management.
