BiomX announced it has completed the acquisition of Zorronet, an AI-powered command-and-control software platform, marking the company’s entry into the defense, security, and rescue sectors.
The transaction, completed through a definitive agreement with Water.io, establishes a foundation for BiomX to build a diversified portfolio of defense and security capabilities aligned with growing global demand for real-time situational awareness solutions.
Zorronet develops artificial intelligence-driven command-and-control software that integrates video analytics, drones, sensors, and IoT devices into a unified operational intelligence environment. Its platform processes multiple data streams simultaneously to detect, classify, and prioritize threats in near real time, enabling faster and more informed decision-making.
The company has secured contracts with the Israel Defense Forces and critical infrastructure operators such as Israel Railways, and also serves government clients and Tier-1 OEMs including Elbit Systems. Its technology is deployed in mission-critical environments where rapid response and situational awareness are essential.
The acquisition complements BiomX’s previously announced option to acquire control of DFSL, an Israeli company specializing in LADAR (laser detection and ranging) technologies for counter-unmanned aerial systems, perimeter security, and advanced detection capabilities. Together, these platforms position BiomX to expand across defense, border security, and critical infrastructure applications.
Modern defense and security operations rely on interconnected systems generating large volumes of data, often across fragmented platforms. Zorronet addresses this challenge by consolidating these inputs into a single intelligence layer, enabling operators to transition from passive monitoring to active threat management and improved response capabilities.
The opportunity is supported by strong market growth, with the global command-and-control systems market projected to reach approximately $44 billion by 2030, and the video analytics market expected to exceed $37 billion over the same period, driven by demand for integrated AI-enabled decision-support systems.
The transaction positions BiomX to expand beyond its core business into adjacent high-growth markets, leveraging AI-driven technologies to address evolving global security and defense needs.
KEY QUOTE:
“The acquisition of Zorronet strengthens our ability to support real-time decision-making across complex security environments. As the volume of data generated by sensors, drones, and connected systems continues to grow, the ability to interpret that data efficiently and respond in a timely manner becomes increasingly important. This acquisition marks an important step in our entry into the defense sector and our focus on acquiring and building a diversified portfolio across defense, rescue, and security sectors.”
