BlackSky, a real-time space-based intelligence company, announced that it has secured a seven-figure award under its National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Luno A Facility Monitoring Delivery Order. The funding renews support for the company’s four-year award and reflects customer satisfaction with the performance of BlackSky’s high-cadence, AI-enabled change detection analytics.

Under the delivery order, BlackSky provides AI-enabled object- and pattern-of-life-change detection capabilities to monitor trends and anomalies across global military and economic facilities. The system tracks activity involving vehicles, aircraft, vessels, railcars, and ground equipment at locations such as ports, airfields, military installations, and railways.

BlackSky currently monitors more than 14 million square kilometers of the Earth’s surface for the NGA. Its scalable artificial intelligence tools allow analysts to conduct frequent, data-intensive, broad-area searches and discovery queries more efficiently than traditional monitoring methods.

The company said its work on the Luno A contract is also contributing to the development of new products, data, and services that apply artificial intelligence to manage massive volumes of geospatial data. These efforts are designed to produce deeper operational insights and strengthen predictive analytics capabilities.

Since joining the Luno A program, BlackSky has secured multiple delivery orders, including contracts supporting automated detection of human activity–driven changes.

BlackSky operates a commercial satellite constellation and delivers on-demand high-frequency imagery and analytics through its Spectra tasking and analytics software platform. The company provides monitoring and intelligence services for strategic locations, economic assets, and major global events, supporting government agencies, commercial businesses, and international organizations.
