Blue Gold Names Kevin Clark As Executive Chairman And Reshapes Board And Finance Leadership

Blue Gold has appointed Kevin Clark as Executive Chairman as the gold mining company makes several leadership and governance changes intended to strengthen execution and develop its longer-term strategy.

He succeeds Andrew Cavaghan, who resigned as Chairman, CEO and a member of the board on the same date.

Clark brings an unusual combination of engineering, intellectual property, venture investing and corporate strategy experience.

Earlier in his career, he worked at Qualcomm designing integrated circuits for satellite and cellular wireless applications and later managed intellectual property and patent work.

He subsequently became a founding partner of Silicon Edge Law Group and was a principal at Integrity Partners, an early investor in Baidu.

As Executive Chairman, Clark will work with Blue Gold’s board and management on strategic priorities and the development of a plan focused on the company’s assets and shareholder value.

Blue Gold also appointed Gary Herman non-executive director and Audit Committee Chairman, replacing Tao Tan.

Herman has more than three decades of experience across investment management, restructuring, corporate management and governance and currently serves as COO of Galloway Capital Partners.

Separately, Jim Samuelson resigned as CFO.

Blue Gold has engaged EMS Consulting Services to provide outsourced financial and accounting services, with Chartered Accountant Shah Nawaz designated as the company’s certifying officer.

Blue Gold is building a gold mining model designed to connect mine production with direct sales of gold to customers in tokenized form.
