Josh Dinneen’s Background

Could you tell me more about your background? Dinneen said:
“My career in technology began almost 25 years ago. After serving more than eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps and becoming a sergeant, I started in the telecommunications sector at AT&T in a direct sales role. From there, I took transitioned to the IT services sector, holding roles at Level 3, Presidio and Corporate IT Solutions.”
“In 2015, I decided to jump into entrepreneurship and I founded Norwell Technology Group (NTG), an IT and Security Advisory firm. As President and CEO, I led sales and operations until it was acquired by GreenPages, which is now Blue Mantis, in 2018. At Blue Mantis, I initially served as President of Strategic Services overseeing NTG’s integration into Blue Mantis’ portfolio. Later, I was promoted to President of Sales and Marketing, working my way up to Chief Revenue Officer in 2022, President in January 2023, and CEO in November 2023.”
“All throughout my career, I’ve been focused on directing growth strategies, transforming service delivery and driving optimal outcomes for clients. For myself and my teams, I emphasize adaptability and a strong work ethic with a customer-first attitude.”
Growth Of The Company
How has the company grown and evolved since you joined? Dinneen shared:
“Since joining Blue Mantis in 2018, I’ve led the company through its transformation from a traditional product reseller to a strategic, services-led digital solutions provider. We moved away from a legacy model of a gross profit cost-of-goods-sold approach to a focus on managed services, cybersecurity, cloud and digital transformation. The growth has paid off with five-year growth of 405% in cybersecurity services, 119% in cloud services, 495% growth in managed services and a 127% increase in our team size. Our team’s commitment to delivering customer-first business outcomes was the catalyst behind the growth.”
“The evolution has been driven by a mix of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. In 2025 alone, we’ve acquired fivenew companies. Three were Vermont-based MSPs – TELigence Partners, Calkins Networks and Brevin Systems which added around 200 new customers and expanded our Northeast footprint. e also acquired North Shore Data Services (NSDS) that strengthened our networking capabilities. Most recently, we acquired Coreio Inc., a fast-growing IT services firm specializing in ServiceNow consulting, infrastructure and operations (I&O) and managed services. This strategic move allows Blue Mantis to accelerate growth in the rapidly expanding ServiceNow midmarket segment, while expanding the company’s footprint in the Canadian market, signaling a significant investment in the region.”
“Beyond the acquisitions, we have made a number of strategic moves to better service our growing client base and to scale operations. We opened global delivery centers in Bangalore and Toronto to scale our 24/7 support capabilities. We also recently added top-tier talent to our leadership team, including Coleen Greco as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Scott Pintsopoulos as Chief Revenue Officer, Matt Jones as SVP, Office of the CEO, Tommy FiGert as VP of Partner Alliances and Brian Donovan as VP of Revenue Operations These collective efforts have further solidified our position as a leader in managed services with a broadening national client base and international footprint.”

“My journey at Blue Mantis has been filled with so many incredible milestones. From transforming our business model and go-to-market (GTM) strategy to leading as a cyber-first IT services company, to scaling our teams and capabilities to deliver greater market value. I’ve also been fortunate to work closely with our amazing investors Recognize and Abry Partners and open our Global Delivery Center in India, enabling us to provide world-class services to customers around the globe.”
“While breaking glass ceilings and shattering records has been rewarding, what I’ll remember most are the relationships I’ve formed with our clients, who fuel the passion behind our mission, and with the incredible team I’ve had the privilege to lead. In our industry, which is defined by constant change and fierce competition, our team shows up every day with relentless dedication. It’s been deeply inspiring to watch our team on the front lines helping our clients drive efficiency.”

“With over 30 years in business, Blue Mantis has reached several key milestones that reflect our transformation into a modern, security-first IT services firm. The company’s transition to a practice-led model during our rebranding from GreenPages marked a major inflection point.”
“As a company, we surpassed 50% in annual recurring revenue. Our partnerships with our investors Recognize and Abry Partners have further accelerated our growth, enabling new go-to-market strategies and geographic expansion.”
“Additional highlights include surpassing 685 employees (including Coreio), a customer retention rate of 96% for MS & CSP clients and a Net Promoter Score of 79. These milestones, along with our recent acquisitions, underscore our commitment to innovation, scale and our customer-first mission.”
Customer Success Stories
When asking Dinneen about customer success stories, he highlighted:
“Like many other healthcare providers during COVID-19, Aspire Health Alliance had to transition services online. To ensure that patient confidentiality and sensitive information stayed intact, the company turned to Blue Mantis to secure its systems and protect patient data.“
“To start, Blue Mantis helped Aspire implement security controls like multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on solutions (SSO), which play a key role in validating user identities and controlling access to health information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and similar privacy laws and safeguarding against potential login credential misuse. We also helped provide the language to educate employees on why it was important to use complex passwords.”
“Next, we focused on protecting Aspire’s endpoints. With the pandemic blurring the lines of the traditional security perimeter with both on-premises and cloud systems, we wanted to make sure that every device accessing the network was updated, patched and encrypted.”
“Five years after the start of the pandemic, the dual security approach continues to help the healthcare organization today. The Aspire team still provides online services, and with the help of Blue Mantis, they can do so with peace of mind knowing their patients’ information is protected.”
Funding
When asking Dinneen about the company’s funding details, he revealed:
“Last September, Recognize, one of the leading technology-focused private equity firms, made a significant majority investment in Blue Mantis. The Recognize team saw our company’s potential to help end users navigate the evolving technology landscape and has built on our foundation to form a powerful GTM strategy. With the capital, Blue Mantis has accelerated our growth, recently adding four new executives and five newly acquired companies to our portfolio.”
Total Addressable Market
What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Dinneen assessed:
“According to Forrester, the global IT services market, which includes Blue Mantis’ key services such as advisory, implementation and managed services, is expected to reach $2 trillion in the next three years. Because Blue Mantis targets mid-market and enterprise organizations that are scaling, we’re in a great position to capitalize on this growth.”
Differentiation From The Competition
What differentiates the company from its competition? Dinneen affirmed:
“First and foremost, our team has an unwavering commitment to people — both our clients and employees. We operate with a client-first, team-first mindset that fosters long-term relationships built on transparency and accountability. Our employees are encouraged to collaborate and continuously learn, ultimately empowering them to deliver high-quality outcomes. The success of our people-first mentality is reflected in our low employee turnover rate and customer success.”
“We also have end-to-end IT services with a security-first approach. Blue Mantis has a full suite of managed services, including cloud consulting, cybersecurity and digital transformation solutions, helping IT leaders with everything from building and scaling infrastructure to data center modernization. Security is ingrained in all our services, with proactive risk management, compliance and incident response always top of mind.”
“For the past 30 years, our company has had a front row seat on the issues plaguing IT teams at mid-sized and enterprise organizations. Throughout our company’s history, we’ve tailored our services specifically based on the unique challenges and compliance needs of today, building upon our previous successes.”
“Since the jump, we’ve also been vendor-agnostic. While we have strong partnerships with key tech partners such as Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Fortinet, we make sure to tailor our recommendations to client needs rather than vendor quotas. This, combined with our strong regional presence in the Northeast U.S., gives us the agility of a boutique firm with the reach of a larger player.”
Future Company Goals
What are some of the company’s future goals? Dinneen concluded:
“Our goals are rooted in delivering value to the market while fostering a client and team-first culture. We are continuing to grow and scale with purpose and discipline. This approach enables us to expand our market reach through both capability and geographic growth, primarily driven by strategic acquisitions. While we have historically focused on organic growth, we are now looking toward a balanced approach that includes both organic and inorganic strategies.”
