Intermetro Fiber, operating as South Reach Networks (SRN), a leading Florida-based fiber infrastructure provider, has been acquired by a fund managed by Blue Owl Capital’s Digital Infrastructure strategy.

SRN operates a 370-mile fiber optic network connecting Jacksonville to Miami, along with five colocation edge facilities. It serves 40 data centers, colocation facilities, and cable landing stations, providing essential connectivity throughout the state of Florida. Blue Owl plans to invest significantly in SRN to expand its network capabilities.

Following the acquisition, Scott Bergs, CEO of Dark Fiber and Infrastructure (DF&I), will also become CEO of SRN. This is expected to enhance Blue Owl’s fiber capabilities and meet the growing needs of hyperscale and enterprise customers.

Advisors/counsel/support: Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld served as legal advisor to Blue Owl. Winston & Strawn served as legal advisor, and Bank Street Group was the exclusive financial advisor to Turning Rock Partners and South Reach Networks.
