Blue Owl Capital announced the final close of its inaugural strategic equity and secondaries strategy, Blue Owl Strategic Equity, with more than $3 billion in total commitments raised across institutional and private wealth channels.
The strategy, known as Blue Owl Strategic Equity, or BOSE, attracted capital from a diverse global client base spanning the firm’s Private Wealth and Institutional platforms, as well as related accounts. The fundraising marks a significant expansion of Blue Owl’s GP-led and minority equity capabilities as demand continues to grow for structured liquidity and long-term capital solutions.
Blue Owl’s Strategic Equity strategy is designed to provide long-term capital to high-quality private equity sponsors seeking to extend ownership in their top-performing portfolio companies. The strategy focuses on continuation vehicles and other minority equity transactions that enable sponsors to retain high-conviction assets while generating liquidity for existing investors.
The closing reflects broader momentum in single-asset and minority equity transactions, an area that remains structurally underpenetrated but increasingly important within the private markets ecosystem. The ability to raise capital across both institutional and private wealth channels underscores the firm’s distribution scale and growing relevance in the GP-led secondary market.
As of December 31, 2025, Blue Owl manages more than $307 billion in assets under management across its Credit, Real Assets and GP Strategic Capital platforms. The firm operates globally with approximately 1,365 professionals and focuses on delivering long-term private capital solutions and alternative investment opportunities to institutional investors, individual investors and insurance companies.
