BlueMatrix To Acquire Aiera

BlueMatrix entered into an agreement to acquire Aiera, combining investment research authoring, governance, and AI distribution technology on a single platform. Financial terms were not disclosed.

BlueMatrix’s acquisition is backed by Thoma Bravo, which is the company’s majority shareholder.

BlueMatrix provides capital markets content publishing technology to more than 1,000 financial institutions and more than 7,000 analysts worldwide.

Aiera provides infrastructure that enables proprietary financial research and other content to be consumed through AI systems while preserving permissions, attribution, sourcing, and auditability.

The combination is intended to help investment managers connect research from multiple providers to internal AI systems without losing controls over intellectual property or entitlements.

Content supported by the combined platform will include broker research, expert insights, news, live events, transcripts, filings, and other institutional research material.

BlueMatrix said AI consumption increasingly requires content to be structured for machine-readable delivery while maintaining persistent attribution and clearly defined usage rights.

Aiera was developed alongside buy-side and sell-side institutions and is backed by 10 global research providers as well as investors including Fin Capital and Flybridge Capital Partners.

The transaction is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

Thoma Bravo had approximately $170 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026.
