Bluerock has expanded its wealth distribution team with the appointment of Mick McClendon, Jeff Spah and Jeff Waszak as Senior Regional Vice Presidents at Bluerock Capital Markets.
The three executives bring a combined 75 years of experience across capital raising, sales management, financial services, private markets and key account development.
Bluerock Capital Markets serves as the dedicated dealer manager for Bluerock, an alternative asset manager with more than $20 billion in acquired and managed assets.
McClendon will lead coverage of the Southeast and Atlantic West regions. Spah will oversee the Mountain Desert region and also serve as Head of Internal Sales. Waszak will lead Bluerock’s distribution efforts across the Midwest.
The appointments expand the company’s coverage of financial advisers across independent broker-dealers, wirehouses and registered investment advisers.
Bluerock said placing experienced regional leaders closer to advisers will help the firm provide more direct support to professionals allocating client capital to alternative investments.
The company’s platform includes 1031 and 721 exchange solutions, public and private real estate investments, alternative credit strategies and qualified opportunity zone programs.
In addition to investment products, Bluerock provides adviser education and practice management resources intended to help financial professionals develop their businesses.
McClendon will be based in Tampa, Florida, and brings more than 25 years of capital markets experience.
He joins Bluerock from Capital Square and previously held senior capital markets and distribution roles at CIM Group, Inland Securities and Wells Real Estate Funds.
McClendon earned his degree from the University of Georgia and holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66 licenses.
Spah will be based in Arizona and brings more than 25 years of financial services experience, including 19 years focused on private markets, private credit, direct real estate and tax-advantaged investment strategies.
He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Head of Business Development at International Trade & Investments.
Spah previously held senior distribution roles at Inland Securities, ICON Investments and Cole Real Estate Investments. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Waszak will be based in Illinois and brings 12 years of financial services experience focused on alternative investments, private markets and tax-advantaged strategies.
He joins Bluerock from CIM Group, where he served as Vice President and External Wholesaler. He previously held distribution roles at Inland Securities.
Waszak earned his degree from North Central College and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
