Bombardier Defense Announces 10-Year Services Support Agreement With Swedish Armed Forces

Bombardier Defense announced that Sweden’s Defence Materiel Administration has signed a 10-year Services Support Agreement on behalf of the Swedish Armed Forces, following the recent acquisition of two Bombardier Global 6500 aircraft as part of the country’s fleet modernization program. The aircraft, which have already been delivered, will perform multi-role missions including head of state transport.

Under the agreement, the Swedish Armed Forces will be enrolled in Bombardier’s Smart Services Defense program, a cost-per-flight-hour model providing predictable operating costs, parts purchasing, technical publications access, engineering support, entry-into-service assistance, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Coverage includes parts such as landing gear and the auxiliary power unit, along with labor, ground support equipment, mobile response team access, and shipping costs, giving the Swedish Armed Forces access to Bombardier’s 24/7 global service and support network. Executives from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration and Bombardier participated in an announcement ceremony at the Farnborough International Airshow to mark the signing.

Bombardier Defense, headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, supports hundreds of aircraft performing missions worldwide, including intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, airborne early warning and control, border and maritime patrol, medevac, and humanitarian assistance, backed by a global network of more than 100 service locations.
