Booster, formerly known as Fresh People, announced that it has closed a €2.6 million funding round led by Archipiélago Next and Inveready, with participation from SUCCESSFUL FUND I FCRE.

The Valencia-based company said the funding will be used to accelerate the growth of Booster, its AI-powered system designed to help managers improve team leadership, people development, and operational execution. The company believes that management and people development have become critical business priorities as organizations navigate increasingly complex workplace environments.

According to Booster, many organizations continue relying on outdated management tools that only digitize legacy processes rather than fundamentally improving leadership capabilities. The company cited internal metrics showing that 70% of employee satisfaction and performance depends on managers, while 60% of strategic transformations fail when they reach operational execution and management layers. At the same time, managers reportedly spend 65% of their time on administrative work instead of focusing on people and team development.

Booster said its platform is designed to provide managers with greater context, decision-making support, and time efficiency so they can focus on team performance and employee engagement. The company added that its solutions are intended to create value for both managers and HR departments by improving how organizations lead and develop teams.

As part of the company’s next stage of growth, Booster announced the transition from the Fresh People brand to Booster. The company also plans to expand internationally following the financing round.

The funding round also brings additional strategic advisors and operators into the company’s ecosystem, including former BBVA executive Paloma Tejada Gasset, who will serve as a key advisor supporting product and solution development. International coaching specialist Stephanie Comenge Segard and several entrepreneurs from Spain and Mexico are also supporting the company’s international expansion efforts.

Booster CEO and founder Jose J. Burgos Lancero said the company has spent years developing AI-driven systems focused on improving team management and leadership effectiveness.
