Booz Allen Hamilton: Strategic Investment In Hadean To Advance AI Wargaming For Western Allies

By Amit Chowdhry • Mar 11, 2026

Booz Allen Hamilton announced that its corporate venture capital arm, Booz Allen Ventures, has made a strategic investment in Hadean, a UK-based technology company focused on AI-powered digital wargaming and command-and-control capabilities. The investment represents Booz Allen Ventures’ first international deal and supports Hadean’s expansion into the United States to better serve U.S., NATO, and allied defense missions.

The bridge-round investment builds on a two-year partnership between Booz Allen and Hadean and reflects a broader effort to integrate advanced commercial technology into military training and mission readiness programs. Booz Allen said the collaboration will help modernize defense training through synthetic mission rehearsals powered by AI-driven simulation environments.

The partnership aims to deliver advanced solutions using agentic, physical, and spatial AI to enhance operational readiness. By combining Booz Allen’s experience delivering complex government programs with Hadean’s scalable simulation technology, the companies plan to expand mission rehearsal capabilities for defense organizations. The technology is designed to support warfighters directly while also offering applications across intelligence, infrastructure, and broader national security sectors.

The investment round also includes Entrepreneurs First, Twin Track Ventures, a NATO-aligned defense and security fund, and the British Business Bank. The funding is intended to accelerate Hadean’s growth ahead of a planned Series B round as the company seeks to establish itself as a leading UK defense technology startup.

Booz Allen Ventures was launched in 2022 to invest in early-stage startups focused on AI, defense technology, cybersecurity, space, deep tech, and reindustrialization. The venture fund expanded to $300 million last year as the firm increased its focus on emerging technologies supporting national security priorities.

Booz Allen Hamilton, headquartered in McLean, Virginia, employs more than 31,000 people globally and reported $12.0 billion in revenue for the 12 months ended March 31, 2025. The company develops AI, cyber, and advanced technology solutions for defense, civil, and national security missions.
