Borderless AI, an AI-based company transforming the Employer of Record (EOR) space, announced that it had raised $27 million in seed funding to utilize GenAI to automate/accelerate the process of onboarding, managing, and paying international team members. The $27 million seed round was led by Susquehanna and Aglaé Ventures (Bernard Arnault’s venture arm), with participation from additional institutional investors.
By eliminating the past compliance, payment, tax law, and onboarding challenges, Borderless AI’s novel AI agent, Alberni, can solve challenging problems and automate processes in any country worldwide within 10 minutes, compared to the market norm of 7-10 business days.
Alberni is available in 170 languages. It reduces the time it takes to generate employment agreements, enabling a company’s legal and HR teams to move faster, save money, and ensure compliance in the onboarding and payments processes. Alberni can also answer complex employment law, finance, or tax queries, which is essential for distributed global workforces and employers looking to scale rapidly.
Borderless AI is a strategic partner of Cohere, a leader in large language model (LLM) technology, and it is the only partner deploying Cohere’s models to global HR. Borderless AI developed its proprietary data platform to augment Cohere’s LLM, putting trust and accuracy at the forefront of the technology.
Willson Cross (CEO) and Sean Aggarwal (Executive Chairman) founded the company. For most of this funding round, the company worked with Omeed Malik and his investment bank, Farvahar Partners.
