Bosta announced it has launched what it describes as the largest automated sorting machine in the Middle East, marking a major infrastructure milestone to improve delivery efficiency and support the rapid growth of Egypt’s e-commerce sector.
The Cairo-based logistics and delivery solutions provider unveiled the system at an official company event attended by Egypt’s Minister of Planning Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, along with partners, economic leaders, entrepreneurs, and members of the media.
Bosta said the new automated sorting machine is designed to improve operational speed and accuracy, reduce manual errors, and accelerate parcel processing across its nationwide network. The company also framed the launch as part of a broader strategy to modernize logistics infrastructure and enhance merchant and customer experiences, including support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
According to CEO Mohamed Ezzat, the new machine can process 11,000 parcels per hour and more than 250,000 parcels per day, distributing shipments across more than 50 operational hubs nationwide. He said the investment in the sorting machine alone reached $5 million, adding that Bosta’s total investments stand at $27 million.
COO Karim El Deeb said Bosta processed 37 million parcels in 2025 and is targeting more than 80 million parcels in 2026. He added that the new sorting machine is expected to increase Bosta’s operational capacity from 100,000 parcels per day to more than 250,000 parcels per day and to more than 6 million parcels per month.
Bosta said it provides merchants with an integrated logistics ecosystem that includes delivery, warehousing, and fulfillment; order management; and technology and financing tools. Ongoing investments in infrastructure and smart systems are intended to strengthen its position as a long-term growth partner for merchants and support Egypt’s digital economy.
