“I am the founder of Brad Englert Advisory and an author, advisor, and technologist. Worked for Accenture–a global management consulting and technology services firm–for 22 years, including 10 years as a partner. My clients were large, complex institutions of higher education, state governments, and commercial organizations. As the CIO, led the modernization of mission critical information systems supporting 55,000 students, 4,000 faculty, and 21,000 staff.”

“Prior to Accenture, I held managerial positions in payroll/human resources and labor relations at the Internal Revenue Service, and was a high school teacher in Maitland, New South Wales, Australia. Earned a masters of public affairs degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor of arts degree in social sciences with honors and distinction from Shimer College, which is now the Shimer Great Books School at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.”

Formation Of His Company

How did the idea for the company come together? Englert shared:

“Throughout my 40 year career, I have enjoyed helping people grow in their careers and was fortunate to have strong mentors who helped me along the way. Brad Englert Advisory was formed to mentor and coach people which is very rewarding. In order to reach a wider audience, I wrote “Spheres of Influence: How to Create and Nurture Authentic Business Relationships” (Fast Company Press) to help emerging and aspiring leaders learn how to build authentic, mutually beneficial, trusting, and enduring business relationships that span years and even decades. Brad Englert Advisory also offers “Spheres of Influence” workshops to provide practical strategies to build lasting professional relationships. Participants engage in interactive exercises, group discussions, and action planning to sharpen their skills in influence, collaboration, and leadership.”

“Brad Englert Advisory developed an information technology strategy and implementation roadmap for a regional liquor retail company which resulted in the launch of a new, easy-to-use mobile app and website with customer delivery service. Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates the company from its competition? Englert concluded:

“We offer practical, crunchy real-world guidance relevant to a diverse range of industries and organizations, not theoretical academic advice. We help people transcend traditional networking which tends to be superficial and transactional by helping them learn the critical hard skill of building effective and enduring business relationships with their boss, direct reports, executive leaders, all staff, customers, strategic vendor partners, and peers and influencers.”
