Brado AI announced the acquisition of ProviderIQ from Hatchleaf, strengthening its Conversational Engagement Platform with enhanced precision routing and patient-provider matching capabilities driven by clinical data and real-world workflows.
Healthcare systems continue to face mounting challenges in balancing patient demand with provider availability, particularly as care delivery becomes more specialized. Traditional routing approaches, often reliant on static directories or rules-based systems, frequently fall short in capturing the complexity of patient needs and provider expertise.
ProviderIQ was designed to address these limitations by integrating clinical context, provider practice patterns, and operational workflows into routing decisions. The solution was co-developed by Dan Cokely and Dr. Arun Rai, a practicing urologist at Johns Hopkins, and is built on real-world encounter data to improve the accuracy of patient-provider matching.
The technology has already been validated through collaboration with Johns Hopkins and a pilot program at Northwell Health. During the pilot, health system access teams managing large patient volumes across complex provider networks saw measurable improvements:
- Provider match specificity increased from under 50 percent to more than 85 percent
- Time to appointment decreased from 45 days to 22 days
- Time to intervention dropped from 74 days to under 30 days
With ProviderIQ now integrated into its platform, Brado AI aims to help health systems enhance access performance, reduce patient leakage, and better utilize constrained provider resources, while also improving the overall experience for both patients and care teams.
As part of the transaction, Brado AI will continue working with Hatchleaf founders Dr. Arun Rai, Dan Cokely, and Nick Mitilenes to further develop and expand the application of ProviderIQ.
The acquisition underscores Brado AI’s broader strategy of enabling healthcare organizations to translate patient intent into precise, system-aligned access, an increasingly important capability in a complex and capacity-constrained healthcare environment.
KEY QUOTES:
“Health systems don’t just need more access, they need more precision in how patients are matched to care. ProviderIQ strengthens our ability to deliver that precision within CEP, using data and clinical insight to better align demand and supply.”
Andy Parham, CEO, Brado AI
“We are proud of what we built with ProviderIQ and excited to see Brado scale its impact through the Conversational Engagement Platform. This transaction allows Hatchleaf to remain focused on advancing precision therapy navigation while enabling broader impact through Brado’s platform.”
Nick Mitilenes, Co-Founder, Hatchleaf
