Starbucks: Brady Brewer To Oversee Digital Experiences And Brand Management As New CMO

Starbucks recently announced it named Brady Brewer as its executive VP and chief marketing officer. Brewer is succeeding Matt Ryan, who had become chief marketing officer at Starbucks in 2018. Ryan’s decision to step down was personal.

Ryan is going to continue working at Starbucks as an adviser until the end of November in order to help with the transition. The announcement was made by Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson in a letter to employees.

Brewer will be responsible for the marketing, digital experiences, creatives, data analytics, and consumer insights at Starbucks. And Brewer will be reporting to Starbucks Chief Operating Officer Roz Brewer.

Brady Brewer joined Starbucks in 2001 and most recently served as senior VP of digital customer experience. Before that, he was chief operating officer for Starbucks Japan.

Plus Brady Brewer has also been credited for helping build the company’s Rewards program while working as the VP of global card and loyalty a few years ago. And Brady Brewer had also worked as the VP of U.S. marketing before that.
