Brain Co. has announced its emergence from stealth mode with a $30 million Series A financing round co-led by Gil Capital and Affinity Partners. The company was incubated by a group of leading investors and operators—Elad Gil, Jared Kushner, Luis Videgaray, and Eric Wu—to bridge Silicon Valley’s top AI talent and the world’s most important institutions. Participation in the funding also included Andrej Karpathy, Aravind Srinivas, Fidji Simo, Patrick Collison, Reid Hoffman, Brian Armstrong, Mark Weinberger, and Andrew Liveris.
Since its launch, Brain Co. has secured partnerships with ten Global 2000 customers and established a strategic relationship with OpenAI. Working closely with these organizations, the company has already delivered AI solutions that automate complex permitting workflows in construction, optimize energy consumption at industrial plants, streamline patient care processes in hospital systems, and handle sophisticated customer interactions for hotels and restaurants.
Early deployments of these applications have generated hundreds of millions of dollars in value across various sectors, including healthcare, energy, retail, government, and hospitality.
Brain Co. differentiates itself by embedding continuous updates into every application. Instead of following the traditional cycle of build, deploy, and integrate, its platform automatically incorporates the latest AI model improvements as soon as they become available. This approach ensures that partners receive instant enhancements and never fall behind as AI capabilities continue to advance rapidly.
Clemens Mewald, who serves as Brain Co.’s Chief Executive Officer, brings leadership experience from Instabase, Databricks, and Google Brain. Under his direction, the company is expanding its development team, strengthening its technical infrastructure, and deepening collaborations with enterprise and government clients worldwide.
KEY QUOTES:
“We’re living through a once-in-a-generation platform shift. After speaking with Elad, we realized we could build a bridge between Silicon Valley’s best AI talent and the world’s most important institutions to drive global impact.”
Jared Kushner, CEO of Affinity Partners
“This is about redefining how AI is adopted and scaled across the real economy. Brain Co. brings together best-in-class talent, speed, and distribution—and that positions them to be a defining company of the AI era.”
Elad Gil
“Everyone talks about the potential of AI, but most enterprises are stuck with applications built on AI capabilities that are obsolete by the time they get access. That has led us to innovate not only on how we build but also on how software is generally consumed by enterprises and governments.”
