Braverman Greenspun Acquires Real Estate Boutique Law Firm Zingman & Associates

Braverman Greenspun (a leading law firm in condominium, cooperative, and real estate matters in New York for over 50 years) announced that it acquired Zingman & Associates, a real estate boutique law firm with which Braverman Greenspun has a more-than-decade-long association.

This acquisition significantly deepens the firm’s capabilities in landlord-tenant-related issues, one area of focus for Zingman & Associates partners Mitchell Zingman and Cheryl Ginsburg. And they join Braverman Greenspun in the same roles. Since 2011, the Zingman firm has operated from Braverman Greenspun’s midtown office.

Working together for nearly 20 years, the lawyers of Zingman & Associates handle landlord-tenant litigation for both commercial and residential properties in disputes calling for the personal attention and sophistication they bring to their engagements. And they also represent both owners and tenants in connection with commercial leases and other real estate transactions, including the sale and financing of single and multi-family properties and commercial buildings. Robert Braverman and Mitchell Zingman had first met while negotiating a commercial lease across the table from each other more than 15 years ago.

Mitchell Zingman and Cheryl Ginsburg have been practicing together since 2006, when Mitchell founded his firm under a different name. Their longtime Legal Assistant, Joseph Siwik, will join Braverman Greenspun.

Mitchell Zingman holds a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Rochester and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. And Cheryl Ginsburg holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Brandeis University and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
