Brewer Science To Acquire Heraeus Epurio Semiconductor Chemicals Business Line

Brewer Science announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire the semiconductor chemicals business line of Heraeus Epurio, a technology provider of ultrapure electronic chemicals used in semiconductor manufacturing. The deal includes the Heraeus Epurio semiconductor chemicals production site in Dayton, Ohio, along with related sales and support personnel in Asia.

This acquisition expands Brewer Science’s advanced materials portfolio and strengthens its ability to support semiconductor customers with specialized ultrapure chemical solutions used in advanced lithography and microdevice fabrication. Brewer Science has served the microelectronics industry since 1981 with expertise across lithography materials, advanced packaging, and materials innovation.

Heraeus Epurio, LLC, based in Dayton, Ohio, is known for developing and manufacturing photoacid generators, photo-initiators, monomers, crosslinkers, and related ultrapure specialty chemicals used in semiconductor and electronics applications. These materials are produced with extremely low trace-metal content and are designed to meet the purity and performance requirements of advanced chip manufacturing.

Brewer Science said the acquisition supports its strategy of vertical integration, growth, and diversification as semiconductor materials become increasingly important to the global advanced chip value chain.
