Brookwood Investment Group has expanded its executive leadership team and begun rolling out the Brookwood Intelligence Platform as the independent RIA builds additional institutional infrastructure around a business that has more than tripled assets under management since 2024. Brookwood has grown from approximately $515 million in AUM to more than $1.5 billion while expanding its advisor community to serve clients nationwide.
The firm named Claire Alexander President, Michael Jones Chief Growth Officer, Jasmine Yu Chief Operating Officer, and Jeffrey Williams Chief Financial Officer and Head of Institutional Operations.
The appointments support Brookwood’s broader shift from an integrator of independent advisory practices toward what it calls a Professional Advisor Partnership model.
Brookwood’s existing platform provides independent advisors with investment management, technology, compliance, operations and growth resources while allowing them to retain their brands and ownership of client relationships.
The next phase is intended to create additional opportunities for advisors to collaborate, develop younger professionals, pursue succession and participate more directly in building the broader institution.
Brookwood Co-Founder and CEO Kimberley Raimondo sees the evolution of independent wealth management moving through three stages: aggregation, integration and partnership.
Under that framework, aggregation created scale, while integration gave advisors access to shared institutional infrastructure.
Brookwood believes partnership represents the next step by allowing advisors to participate in building the institution itself rather than simply consuming its services.
Alexander joins as President after more than a decade in leadership positions at high-growth independent advisory firms.
She has directed more than 40 advisor transitions ranging from $20 million to $600 million in AUM and maintained an average asset transfer rate above 90%.
Alexander previously founded The Arch’s Anvil, an operational consulting firm for independent RIAs.
At Brookwood, she will oversee operational infrastructure, M&A, transition architecture, governance and technology systems supporting the firm and its advisory practices.
Jones joins as Chief Growth Officer with more than 25 years of wealth management experience at organizations including BlackRock, TD Ameritrade Institutional, AssetMark and Ocean Park Asset Management.
He will lead Brookwood’s growth initiatives and Orchard, the firm’s advisor partnership platform.
Orchard is being developed around the full lifecycle of an advisory practice, including growth, partnership, liquidity and succession.
Jones will focus on identifying growth opportunities, developing succession pathways and connecting younger professionals with established advisory businesses.
Yu joins Brookwood as Chief Operating Officer and will oversee firmwide operational strategy, advisor onboarding and transitions, and coordination across technology, compliance and operations.
She previously served as COO of e3 Wealth and earlier was Director of Operations and Administration at Kestra Private Wealth Services.
At Kestra, Yu supported a network of 75 offices, more than 275 advisors and more than 90 staff members nationwide.
Williams joins as CFO and Head of Institutional Operations, leading Brookwood’s finance, treasury and risk infrastructure.
He brings more than three decades of experience across investment organizations and has held senior positions at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
Most recently, Williams served as Operations Manager at Centiva Capital.
The new executives join an existing leadership group that includes Chief Investment Officer Christopher R. Coolidge, Chief Experience Officer Heather DeAgostine, Chief Development Officer Robert Raimondo, Chief Technology Officer David Rosenthal and recently promoted Chief Investment Solutions Officer Rich Mowrer.
Alongside the leadership expansion, Brookwood is launching the first phase of the Brookwood Intelligence Platform, which is powered in part by Amplify.
The system is intended to connect technology, data, investment intelligence, portfolio management, trading, account management, servicing and advisor workflows across the firm.
Brookwood describes it as a multi-phase ecosystem rather than simply another CRM or portfolio management platform.
The technology initiative is part of what Brookwood calls the “Age of Alignment,” in which human expertise and intelligent technology increasingly operate together.
That philosophy also includes HumanAlpha, Brookwood’s view that judgment, experience, accountability, relationships and trust become more valuable as technology becomes more capable.
The firm also uses SmartAlpha to describe its approach to combining advanced technology with professional investment expertise, while Coopetition represents its emphasis on collaboration and shared intelligence among advisors.
Brookwood now supports more than 75 advisors serving over 6,200 clients nationwide and oversees more than $1.5 billion in assets.
KEY QUOTES:
“We view the industry through a different lens. We came into wealth management as lawyers, and that shapes how we see the business. Lawyers don’t think of themselves as books of business or collections of assets. We are professionals. We build practices, join firms, become partners and build institutions designed to endure beyond any one individual.”
“The wealth management model is ready to evolve. I believe advisors deserve that same opportunity and a new model to choose from.”
“The aggregator model demonstrated the value of scale. The integrator model went further by giving independent advisors access to shared technology, investment capabilities, compliance, operations and infrastructure while allowing them to continue building their own businesses. I believe the next evolution is partnership. Integration gives advisors access to the institution. Partnership gives them a role in building it.”
Kimberley Raimondo, Co-Founder and CEO of Brookwood Investment Group
“Growth creates opportunity, but it also demands infrastructure capable of keeping pace. Our goal is to continue to build ahead of the growth, through the systems, processes, and capabilities our partners need for where they’re going next.”
Claire Alexander, President of Brookwood Investment Group
“Brookwood believes succession should not begin with the question, ‘Who wants to buy my assets?’ An advisor is more than their AUM. They have relationships, expertise, employees, a reputation, and clients who have trusted them for years. That’s a professional practice.”
“The industry often focuses on transfer of assets. Brookwood is setting the bar to focus on the transfer of trust.”
Kimberley Raimondo, Co-Founder and CEO of Brookwood Investment Group
“The more technology advances, the more convinced I become that the professional matters. Technology can analyze more. AI can automate more, that’s exciting. Somebody still has to exercise judgment. Somebody has to understand the client. Somebody has to be accountable. And somebody has to earn the trust. That’s HumanAlpha.”
