One Equity Partners (OEP), a middle-market private equity firm, will invest in Brown & Root Industrial Services, with existing investor KBR retaining a significant stake.
Based in Baton Rouge, Brown & Root provides specialty industrial services, including maintenance, turnarounds, construction, and soft craft, serving major clients across the chemicals, energy, manufacturing, and government sectors. The company employs over 10,000 people at 22 U.S. locations, mainly in Texas and the Gulf Coast. Industry trends, including aging infrastructure and skilled labor shortages, are expected to support market growth.
The deal is set to close in late Q3 or early Q4 2025, pending approvals; financial details were not disclosed.
