Browserbase, an infrastructure platform that powers web browsing capabilities for AI agents announced the launch of Director, a new no-code application that brings browser automation to non-developers. This product release coincides with a $40 million Series B financing round led by Notable Capital, with participation from existing investors CRV and Kleiner Perkins. Glenn Solomon, managing partner from Notable Capital, will also join the board of directors.

Momentum: Founded just 16 months ago, Browserbase has scaled quickly, serving over 50 million browser sessions in 2025 alone. It now supports 1,000+ companies, including Perplexity, Commure, 11x, Vercel, and Customer.io. Over 20,000 developers have signed up to utilize the platform, embedding real-world web browsing capabilities into their AI features, workflows, and products.

Director: Director is Browserbase’s no-code tool that transforms plain English into powerful browser automations, making web automation easier to access. And it enables non-technical users—operators, analysts, marketers, and vibe coders—to build and run automations simply by describing what they want to do. Director generates executable Stagehand scripts and deploys them on Browserbase’s infrastructure, making automation accessible across every team.

Director joins Stagehand, which is Browserbase’s open-source automation framework, and now supports Python and Node.js with improved observability and performance.
