BrowserStack announced a $125 million employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) and share buyback program that will provide liquidity to more than 500 current and former employees as well as early investors. The transaction marks the company’s third buyback and brings BrowserStack’s cumulative buyback total to more than $275 million across the three programs.

The company said it is funding the buyback entirely through internal accruals, citing sustained profitability as enabling it to return capital to stakeholders while continuing to invest in growth. The buyback will roll out in the coming weeks, with eligible participants receiving details directly from the company.

BrowserStack also positioned the program alongside its broader product expansion, noting its evolution from a testing infrastructure provider into an end-to-end (E2E) testing platform. The company said it has grown its product portfolio from five to 21 offerings, covering the testing lifecycle across areas such as functional, accessibility, and visual testing, as well as test management and debugging.

In parallel, BrowserStack said it plans to use its cash flows to pursue acquisitions of developer tool startups, pointing to recent acquisitions including Requestly and Bird Eats Bug as part of a broader push to consolidate the market.

BrowserStack, founded in 2011, is privately held and backed by Accel, Bond, and Insight Partners. The company says its platform is used by more than 50,000 teams and runs over three million tests per day across 21 global data centers, providing access to more than 30,000 real devices and browsers.

“We started in a small coffee shop with a simple idea, and the people who joined us early on are the reason we are here today. Seeing our team members build their lives and futures alongside the company is the most rewarding part of building together. As we scale AI-driven innovation, we want our team to feel the same ownership and pride that Nakul and I do every single day.”
