Buildots has raised $130 million in a new funding round led by O.G. Venture Partners to expand its AI-powered construction intelligence platform and scale deployments across large construction portfolios, including data centers, advanced manufacturing and energy infrastructure projects. The financing included participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Intel Capital, Mohari Ventures, Human Capital, Qumra Capital, Avigdor Willenz, Viola Growth and Poalim Equity.
The round brings Buildots’ total capital raised to $297 million as the company continues what it described as a multi-year streak of roughly threefold annual revenue growth.
Buildots develops an AI platform designed to give construction companies and project owners a continuously updated view of what is happening across job sites.
The company positions the platform as a control layer for large construction programs, replacing fragmented reports, manual inspections and subjective assessments with verified project data that can be used to track progress, identify delays and forecast project performance.
More than 100 large organizations currently use Buildots, including owners and operators such as Digital Realty and Intel, along with contractors including STO Building Group, JE Dunn, Mortenson, Bouygues and HOCHTIEF.
The company is increasingly targeting mission-critical construction projects as investment accelerates across AI data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, energy infrastructure and other large industrial developments.
Buildots said these projects are becoming more complicated while construction schedules are getting shorter, increasing demand for better real-time visibility into execution.
The company is also seeing larger enterprise commitments. Seven-figure, portfolio-wide, multi-year agreements have become increasingly common as customers deploy Buildots across multiple projects rather than using it on individual sites.
Buildots’ technology uses computer vision and proprietary AI models trained on approximately eight years of data collected from real construction sites.
Its models combine video footage with construction schedules, three-dimensional models and site imagery to classify hundreds of types of construction activity and create a digital representation of each project’s progress.
The system is intended to create a feedback loop between physical construction work and the digital project plan, giving teams earlier visibility into potential delays and allowing managers to adjust labor, capital and scheduling decisions before problems become more costly.
Buildots said that even relatively small execution improvements can have substantial financial implications on projects valued at hundreds of millions or billions of dollars.
At the portfolio level, the company also aims to give executives visibility across multiple developments, allowing them to identify risks and compare performance across projects rather than relying on individual site reports.
The new funding will support expansion in three primary areas.
Buildots plans to broaden adoption across major construction portfolios in North America and EMEA, expand its technology across more stages of the construction lifecycle from bidding through handover, and develop additional business-level intelligence for executives managing large portfolios.
The company sees AI infrastructure construction as an important growth driver as hyperscalers and other technology companies invest heavily in new data center capacity.
Buildots said the same project-management problems its technology addresses in data centers also exist across hospitals, schools, residential projects and commercial developments, creating an opportunity to apply the platform across the broader $16 trillion global construction industry.
Human Capital and Mohari Ventures are new investors in the latest round. Buildots’ existing investor base also includes TLV Partners, Future Energy Ventures, Maor Investments and Tidhar.
Buildots serves construction projects ranging from local schools and multifamily developments to large data centers and megaprojects, with customers including Fortune 500 contractors and major infrastructure owners.
KEY QUOTES:
“It will soon be inconceivable that anyone managed a construction portfolio without Buildots. That shift was already underway before the AI buildout, but the buildout has poured rocket fuel on it. Buildots is now used across residential, commercial and – of course – mission-critical projects worldwide, on jobs of every size, from single sites to entire portfolios. The blind spot we solve for a data center is the same one that’s been costing a school or a hospital for decades, just at much greater scale, which is why the world is finally paying attention. The AI era will be built on schedule.”
Roy Danon, CEO and Co-Founder of Buildots
“In 20+ years of backing category-defining companies, the pattern is always the same: the winners build the foundational technology layer that everyone else ends up depending on. Buildots is that layer for construction, trained on a volume and quality of site data that nobody else has.”
