Bureau Veritas, a global testing, inspection, and certification provider, announced it will acquire SPIN360, an Italian sustainability consulting firm that advises premium fashion and luxury brands on sustainable innovation and product development.
The deal is intended to support Bureau Veritas’ LEAP | 28 strategy, which focuses on building stronger positions in Consumer Product Services and accelerating growth in priority markets, including Italy. Bureau Veritas said the acquisition will combine SPIN360’s proprietary Life Cycle Assessment tools and data-driven advisory offerings with Bureau Veritas’ capabilities in certification and supply chain auditing, strengthening its ability to deliver integrated compliance and sustainability solutions to global consumer product clients.
Founded in 2009 and based in Milan, SPIN360 provides advisory services spanning life cycle assessment and costing, environmental product declarations, carbon footprinting, supply chain engagement and monitoring, and ESG reporting. The firm employs about 30 specialists and serves clients across fashion and luxury as well as related supply chain segments, including tanneries, materials, softlines, and footwear.
Bureau Veritas said SPIN360 generated approximately €4 million in revenue in 2024 and that the transaction will help position Bureau Veritas as a global center of excellence supporting premium fashion and luxury customers navigating sustainability and compliance requirements.
Bureau Veritas, founded in 1828, operates in inspection, certification, and laboratory testing, with approximately 84,000 employees working across 140 countries. The company is listed in Paris and is included in major French equity indices, including the CAC 40.
