BV Investment Partners has invested in Thomas & Company, a workforce compliance technology and services provider serving large U.S. employers. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.

BV is partnering with CEO Nate Kenney and Thomas & Company’s existing management team to expand the company’s customer base, product capabilities, technology, and acquisition strategy.

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Nashville, Thomas & Company specializes in unemployment cost management, tax exposure management, employment and wage verification, and related workforce compliance services.

The company employs more than 200 professionals nationwide.

Its platform combines a proprietary records database with specialized software and a service model designed to help large employers navigate complex employment regulations while controlling costs and reducing administrative risk.

BV sees increasing complexity across workforce compliance as a catalyst for continued demand.

The investment firm also sees an opportunity for Thomas & Company to broaden its capabilities organically and through acquisitions across the wider human resources ecosystem.

BV manages more than $7.8 billion in assets and focuses on technology-enabled business services and solutions.
