Byzfunder has appointed Filippo Guidi as Chief Strategy Officer to oversee capital markets, strategic planning, ventures, and partnerships as the small-business lender expands its institutional funding base.
Guidi joined the company in October 2026 and brings more than 20 years of experience spanning corporate finance, investment banking, investing, and operating roles.
Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of TimePayment, a micro-ticket equipment finance company.
During his tenure at TimePayment, Guidi led the company’s sale from Fortress Investment Group to BasePoint Capital.
Earlier in his career, he worked as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan and Evercore Partners and held investment roles at Silver Point Capital and Madison Dearborn Partners.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics with honors from the University of Chicago.
At Byzfunder, Guidi’s responsibilities will include securitizations, warehouse facilities, forward-flow relationships, strategic partnerships, ventures, and financial planning and analysis.
The appointment comes as Byzfunder seeks to expand its small-business lending operation and develop a larger and more diversified institutional capital base.
Founded in 2019, Byzfunder has provided more than $2 billion in financing across more than 35,000 small and midsize businesses throughout the United States.
The company provides working capital directly from its own balance sheet and uses business performance as part of its underwriting process rather than relying solely on traditional credit scores.
Businesses can apply through Byzfunder’s online platform and may receive financing during the same business day.
In 2026, the company also completed its inaugural $170 million KBRA-rated asset-backed securitization, adding another institutional funding channel to its capital structure.
