C.H. Robinson announced that it has acquired DeSpir Logistics, a specialized provider of secure transportation solutions and cargo escort services for mission-critical and high-value freight across North America.
The deal expands C.H. Robinson’s capabilities in premium logistics services, where security, compliance, visibility, and execution are key requirements.
DeSpir Logistics focuses on high-value, high-risk, and temperature-controlled cargo. Its capabilities support sensitive and regulated shipments across industries, including healthcare, life sciences, data centers, aerospace, and high-value retail.
C.H. Robinson said demand for these services is growing as supply chains become more complex and cargo theft becomes more sophisticated.
The acquisition expands C.H. Robinson’s network of vetted, security-focused carriers. Drivers in this network undergo individual vetting, maintain required certifications, and are subject to ongoing audits.
DeSpir also adds advanced high-security technology capabilities across the shipment lifecycle, including real-time monitoring of temperature fluctuations and detection of potential cargo tampering.
C.H. Robinson said applying its Lean AI approach to DeSpir’s high-security platform will help scale these capabilities and provide customers with greater visibility, deeper insights, and improved performance across high-stakes supply chains.
DeSpir generated $62 million in total revenue for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025. C.H. Robinson acquired the company for approximately $75 million in cash.
The acquisition is expected to be slightly accretive in 2026 and will be financed through cash on hand. The transaction has officially closed.
