C-Infinity: $16 Million Funding Raised For AI-Driven Manufacturing Process Automation

C-Infinity announced it has raised $16 million in funding to accelerate development of its AI platform, AutoAssembler, which automates the translation of digital designs into production-ready manufacturing plans. The round was led by Canaan Partners, with participation from Inventus Capital Partners, Bee Partners, and Radius Capital.

C-Infinity is focused on addressing a long-standing bottleneck in manufacturing, process planning, which traditionally relies on manual engineering work and can significantly delay the transition from design to production. The company’s AutoAssembler platform embeds AI directly into engineering workflows, automating tasks such as process planning, engineering change order reviews, and the generation of assembly instructions.

The platform uses AI to reason about physical design constraints, including geometry, motion, and spatial relationships, enabling manufacturers to move from digital design to production in minutes rather than weeks. C-Infinity said the technology is already being deployed by Global Fortune 100 manufacturers as well as small and mid-sized enterprises.

The company said its approach reflects a broader shift in industrial technology, as AI moves from passive systems that track processes to active systems that participate in and optimize engineering workflows in real time.

The new funding will be used to expand the platform’s capabilities and accelerate adoption across the manufacturing sector as companies seek to improve speed, efficiency, and resilience in production.

KEY QUOTES:

“Manufacturers have worked with this bottleneck for years, and it’s generally accepted as business as usual. What’s changing now is that AI can move into physically reasoning about how products are actually built, allowing companies to reduce the time between design and production in a way that wasn’t previously possible.”

Sai Nelaturi, Chief Executive Officer, C-Infinity

“After advising Sai for two years, it’s clear C-Infinity is building the missing compiler for the physical world. For too long, the manual translation from digital design to production has been a massive hidden cost and a bottleneck for throughput. By applying first-principles geometric reasoning to the engineering workflow, they turn weeks of manual backlog into minutes of automated planning, delivering the deterministic logic that high-mix manufacturing finally needs.”

Kumar Sreekanti, Venture Partner, Canaan Partners

“C-Infinity combines deep technical innovation with clear, real-world applicability, something that is rare in this category. The team is solving a hard problem that directly impacts manufacturing efficiency and competitiveness.”
