C3 Integrated Solutions has made two leadership moves it says will support its next phase of growth as the U.S. Department of Defense advances phased enforcement of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework.
Effective Jan. 1, Bill Wootton assumed the newly created role of chief growth officer, while Mike Nestor was promoted to chief revenue officer. The company said the changes are designed to strengthen its go-to-market execution and expand its capacity to support defense contractors facing rising expectations to demonstrate and sustain compliance.
In his new position, Wootton will focus on channel strategy, partnerships and inorganic growth initiatives. Nestor will oversee revenue execution across the organization, with an expanded remit that now includes marketing, sales operations and inside sales, in addition to leading the sales organization.
C3 framed the appointments against what it described as a shift in the defense industrial base from planning for CMMC compliance to proving it, citing the multi-year rollout that requires organizations handling sensitive defense information to validate cybersecurity controls and maintain audit-ready evidence.
The company also pointed to increased demand for service providers that can deliver consistent, defensible compliance outcomes, as contractors navigate a more complex mix of cybersecurity and regulatory requirements. C3 said it expects partnerships and scalable delivery models to be central to its growth strategy during the implementation period.
KEY QUOTES:
“Our focus in 2025 was on maturity across the sales organization. That meant validating our services, strengthening operational discipline, and building a marketing foundation that reflects the reality of what contractors are facing. Our experience, the maturity of our solutions, and the investments we’ve made in scalability position us to capture this demand and support this critical need.”
Mike Nestor, Chief Revenue Officer, C3 Integrated Solutions
“As defense contractors face increasing pressure to achieve CMMC Level 2 certifications, the industry needs to work collaboratively to meet this demand. We’re seeing market conditions open new opportunities, particularly through partnerships and scalable delivery models that will be an engine of growth for C3 and its partners.”
Bill Wootton, Chief Growth Officer, C3 Integrated Solutions
