C8 Health: $12 Million Series A Raised For Implementation Platform For Healthcare

By Amit Chowdhry ● Aug 6, 2025

C8 Health, a platform for implementing best practices in healthcare, has announced a $12 million Series A funding round led by Team8, bringing total funding to $18 million, which includes a $6 million seed round.

Inconsistent care impacts patient outcomes and results in $345 billion in annual waste in the U.S. healthcare system. While best practices may be documented, accessing them during critical moments can be challenging due to siloed knowledge bases and varying data formats. It takes an average of 17 years for physicians to adopt new standards of care, underscoring the need for practical tools, particularly among a significant number of traveling healthcare professionals.

C8 Health bridges this gap by offering a unified platform that provides clinicians with instant access to vetted, site-specific knowledge. Information is tailored based on a clinician’s schedule, role, and department, helping hospitals monitor adherence to care standards and achieve quality goals. The platform integrates with hospital tools and is accessible via mobile devices or EMRs, ensuring that clinicians receive the proper guidance when needed.

C8 also includes an AI assistant that enables clinicians to ask natural-language questions and receive contextual answers from their institution’s vetted knowledge base. Users can also access best practices from a global network of hospitals, enhancing their local protocols with insights from leading institutions.

The concept for C8 Health was developed by Dr. Ido Zamberg, who sought to improve access to clinical best practices at his hospital. Initially launched as a departmental tool in Neurology, C8 quickly expanded to other hospitals in Switzerland.

In 2022, Dr. Zamberg partnered with Galia Rosen Schwarz and Tzach Klo to establish C8 Health in the U.S. Starting with Anesthesia, C8 has since expanded to multiple departments. It is now utilized by over 100 hospitals, boasting a clinician adoption rate exceeding 90% within six months of deployment.

KEY QUOTES:

“Healthcare organizations all struggle to provide real-time quality feedback to physicians, providers, and trainees in a user-friendly format that encourages utility and compliance. C8 builds this seamlessly into their platform, which will have a profound impact on the way our caregivers utilize quality data to implement best practices. The days of administrators retrospectively utilizing quality data to try to drive change may very well become a thing of the past, as we can all now have ownership of our own performance on a daily basis.”

Dr. Brian Masel, Director of Anesthesia Quality and Chief of Pediatric Anesthesiology at The University of Texas Medical Branch

“It is exciting to see how we enable hospitals to implement their best practices effectively and gain control over both care quality and delivery costs. This round will help us grow our team to support the needs and demand in the market. We already see how this approach is becoming the new standard, driving adherence to best practices across healthcare systems. Dartmouth Health is working with us to strengthen the connection between their main campus and member locations. Metro Health has seen substantial improvements in resources access and information retrieval as well as high clinician satisfaction. Having a single source of truth for such a broad range of clinical needs is proving invaluable.”

Galia Rosen Schwarz, CEO and co-founder of C8 Health

“C8 Health is addressing a real need for healthcare teams across virtually every hospital and specialty. The rapid adoption of their product and exceptional clinician engagement speak to the immense value of their solution. We strongly believe that C8 Health will play a pivotal role in shaping a better future for both physicians and their patients.”
