Caldwell announced the addition of Alex Langridge as a Partner in the firm’s Financial Services Practice, further expanding its leadership advisory and executive search capabilities across the financial services and fintech sectors. Based in London, Langridge will advise clients on senior executive and board appointments, succession planning, organizational design, and transformational leadership hiring.
Langridge brings more than 20 years of executive search and leadership advisory experience, working with banks, insurers, fintech companies, and private equity and venture-backed businesses throughout the UK and EMEA. His expertise includes placing senior leaders across profit-and-loss management, operations, commercial functions, product development, technology, and digital transformation. He has also helped organizations build diverse leadership teams equipped to navigate rapidly changing market conditions.
According to Caldwell’s Global Managing Partners of the Financial Services Practice, Paul Heller and Glenn Buggy, Langridge’s experience at the intersection of financial services, technology, and fintech makes him a strong addition to the firm’s global team. They highlighted his advisory work across banking, payments, insurance, and digital financial services, along with his strategic approach to helping clients address transformational leadership challenges.
Throughout his career, Langridge has advised FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies, global financial institutions, and high-growth investor-backed organizations on executive and board-level hiring. His experience spans technology, operations, product, cybersecurity, commercial leadership, and general management roles. He has also supported challenger banks, insurance providers, exchanges, payments platforms, and private equity-backed companies with leadership succession planning and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
Before joining Caldwell, Langridge led the financial services practice at a leadership advisory firm specializing in banking, fintech, insurance, and investor-backed businesses. Earlier in his career, he developed and led technology, digital, and fintech executive search practices at specialist search firms and worked in-house for a high-growth fintech company. He began his career in research positions supporting financial services and executive search clients in London.
Langridge holds a master’s degree in modern languages from the University of Oxford and speaks both French and German. He is also an associate partner at The FinTech & Payments Advisory Network and remains active as an investor and advisor within the UK fintech ecosystem.
Caldwell Chief Executive Officer Chris Beck said the appointment reflects the firm’s continued investment in expanding its global financial services and fintech capabilities. He noted that the growing convergence of financial services, technology, and digital transformation is creating new leadership requirements across the industry, and that Langridge’s experience will help clients address those evolving challenges while strengthening Caldwell’s presence in London and other international markets.
