Caldwell has appointed Steven Price as co-leader of its Life Sciences and Healthcare Practice. He will lead the executive search practice alongside John Blank as the firm continues expanding its capabilities across healthcare and life sciences.
Price focuses on senior leadership searches for academic medical schools and health systems. He works with deans, healthcare executives and other institutional leaders to recruit academic, clinical and administrative executives.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in physician and healthcare leadership recruitment. Price has advised academic institutions, health systems and physician organizations on complex executive searches and long-term talent strategies.
Before joining Caldwell, Price led the Academic Practice at Merritt Hawkins, an AMN Healthcare company. His experience includes identifying executives capable of overseeing clinical operations, medical education, research and organizational growth.
Caldwell’s Life Sciences and Healthcare Practice serves pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, diagnostics, healthcare services, academic medicine and healthcare technology organizations. The team advises clients on board, CEO and other senior executive appointments.
As co-leader, Price will work with Blank to advance the practice’s growth strategy and strengthen collaboration across its areas of specialization. He will also support the continued expansion of Caldwell’s services for clients operating globally.
Blank recently became Caldwell’s chief operating officer while retaining his role as co-leader of the Life Sciences and Healthcare Practice. Caldwell believes Price’s expanded responsibilities will provide additional leadership capacity as Blank takes on broader operational duties.
