Callaway Golf Names Harry Arnett As Senior Vice President And Chief Brand Officer

Callaway Golf Company has appointed Harry Arnett as Senior Vice President and Chief Brand Officer, bringing back an executive who previously led the company’s global brand and marketing organization from 2012 through 2019. Arnett will oversee Callaway’s global brand strategy and demand-creation efforts.

The new role brings together brand building, creative communications, and consumer-facing strategies intended to deepen Callaway’s connection with golfers and support direct market-share growth. Management views the appointment as an opportunity to reconnect the company with an executive who played a central role in a previous period of brand expansion.

During Arnett’s earlier tenure, Callaway repositioned its brand around a more modern, consumer-focused approach and increased its presence with golfers. The company said its U.S. hard-goods dollar market share, as reported by Golf Datatech, increased by more than 1,000 basis points to 24.0%, while Callaway reclaimed the No. 1 U.S. club brand position from 2015 through 2020 and began a golf-ball market-share expansion that continued after his departure.

Arnett is returning at a time when Callaway is focused on building demand across clubs, balls, accessories, and other golf products while strengthening a direct relationship with consumers. The company said his responsibilities will span brand, communications, creative, and broader consumer engagement rather than a single product category.

Callaway Golf Company operates a portfolio of golf brands including Callaway Golf, Odyssey, TravisMathew, and OGIO. The company designs, manufactures, and sells golf equipment, apparel, bags, and accessories and is positioning the Chief Brand Officer role as a senior operating position tied directly to growth and consumer demand.

“We are very excited to have Harry return home to his Callaway family. Harry brings a rare combination of creative vision, commercial instinct, and a deep understanding of the golf consumer. During Harry’s first chapter with Callaway, he helped establish a more modern, consumer-focused approach to brand building and demand creation that contributed to Callaway’s resurgence as a leader in the golf industry. During that time, our U.S. hard goods dollar market share, as reported by Golf Datatech, increased over 1,000 basis points to 24.0%, we re-claimed the # 1 US club brand position from 2015 – 2020, and we began our market share climb in golf balls that continues to this day.
