Cantina has launched from stealth with $8 million in new funding led by Framework Ventures, bringing the cybersecurity company’s total capital raised to $16.5 million.
The company has developed a community-powered agentic security platform that uses autonomous workers to identify vulnerabilities, prioritize risks, coordinate remediation, and verify that fixes have been completed.
Cantina was founded by security researchers and engineers with experience identifying vulnerabilities and defending critical software systems.
The platform is currently used by organizations across healthcare, financial technology and other regulated industries, ranging from middle-market businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
Cantina also has trusted access with OpenAI and participates in Anthropic’s Cyber Verification Program, providing the team with visibility into AI capabilities affecting cyberattack and defense strategies.
The platform creates a continuously updated model of each customer’s cybersecurity environment. It maps users, servers, software repositories, cloud identities, databases and other systems while connecting them to business context, ownership information and previous investigations.
Cantina offers out-of-the-box autonomous agents, customizable agents and community-developed agents shared by other customers.
Its capabilities include a security memory layer, business-risk prioritization, autonomous remediation and verified resolution with auditable evidence.
The company said the technology is designed to help security teams move beyond identifying vulnerabilities and complete the work required to resolve them before attackers can act.
