Capital Machine has acquired KC Robotics, a robotic systems integrator based in West Chester, Ohio, expanding the company from a fabrication equipment distributor into a broader provider of turnkey automation systems.
The acquisition is Capital Machine’s first add-on since partnering with Rotunda Capital Partners in March 2025. KC Robotics has more than 35 years of experience designing, building, and integrating custom automation systems for manufacturers across North America.
KC Robotics’ capabilities include robotic welding, cutting and finishing, material handling, machine tending, assembly, and vision-guided automation cells. The company also maintains in-house engineering, fabrication, and robot programming capabilities.
KC Robotics holds integrator credentials with FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa Motoman, KUKA, Fronius, ESAB, and Miller. The acquisition gives Capital Machine the ability to offer customers a more integrated solution spanning machinery, robotics, system engineering, installation, and ongoing service.
Capital Machine distributes and services metal fabrication equipment including press brakes, metal cutting machinery, and robotic welders. The company operates showrooms in Tampa, Atlanta, Dallas, Indianapolis, and Harrisburg and provides field service across 22 states.
By adding KC Robotics, Capital Machine plans to give manufacturers a single partner capable of specifying, engineering, and delivering an entire automated production system rather than requiring customers to purchase equipment from one provider and use a separate systems integrator.
KC Robotics will continue operating under its existing name, with Kyle Carrier remaining CEO. Its existing customers will continue working with the same engineering and project management teams while gaining access to Capital Machine’s broader equipment portfolio and aftermarket service infrastructure.
The combination also expands the geographic and technical reach of KC Robotics by pairing its automation engineering expertise with Capital Machine’s sales and service footprint. Rotunda Capital Partners is supporting the strategy as Capital Machine builds a broader industrial automation platform.
KEY QUOTES:
“Our customers have been asking us to help them solve their automation challenges, not just sell them the machine at the center of the cell. KC Robotics brings the engineering depth to design and deliver complete systems. Our aftermarket service organization will stand behind those systems for the long run.”
Dan DeBickero, CEO Of Capital Machine
“Joining Capital Machine lets us bring our engineering to far more manufacturers, backed by a service footprint few integrators can match. Our customers keep the team they know, with a lot more behind it.”
Kyle Carrier, CEO Of KC Robotics
