Capitolis, a New York-based financial technology company, has appointed Jon Gizzie as Head of Financial Resource Management. Gizzie brings more than 30 years of experience in capital optimization, liquidity management, balance sheet strategy, derivatives, and financial services. He will report to Okan Pekin, President of Capitolis, and lead the expansion of solutions designed to help banks and institutional investors manage financing, capital, and liquidity requirements.
Gizzie most recently served as Global Head of Financial Resources Management for Citi’s Client Organization.
In that position, he led a team responsible for optimizing capital, liquidity, and tax resources across the bank’s business lines and customer segments.
Earlier in his Citi career, Gizzie structured derivative solutions for financial institutions, asset managers, and pension funds.
He began his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he spent 13 years advising private equity clients on mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and transaction strategy.
At Capitolis, Gizzie will work with banks and institutional investors to develop products that address balance sheet constraints and support more efficient allocation of financial resources.
His appointment comes as Capitolis expands its platform through new products, a growing institutional client network, and additional senior leadership appointments.
