CapNexus announced its official launch as a new enterprise and retail technology consulting and managed services company formed through the strategic combination of Capstone Integrated Solutions, RPE Solutions, and the acquisition of Makira, a retail implementation and integration firm. The unified organization will operate under the CapNexus brand as an end-to-end technology transformation partner serving enterprise and retail organizations across North America.

The launch brings together complementary capabilities spanning enterprise consulting, systems implementation, cloud infrastructure, AWS consulting, AI-powered analytics, legacy system modernization, and managed services. The company aims to help enterprises and retailers modernize operations, scale digital infrastructure, and compete in increasingly complex technology environments.

As part of the launch, CapNexus confirmed its acquisition of Makira, an enterprise and retail implementation firm known for delivering large-scale modernization initiatives. Makira’s founders, Andrew Miller and Rick Boretsky, have joined the CapNexus executive leadership team as Managing Directors of Retail Implementation Services. Their addition is expected to strengthen CapNexus’ ability to execute complex retail technology deployments and maintain continuity for Makira’s existing clients.

The newly formed company combines the technology engineering and cloud development expertise of Capstone Integrated Solutions with the enterprise consulting and managed hosting capabilities of RPE Solutions. Capstone contributes AWS-native development, AI-powered solutions, and enterprise modernization experience, while RPE brings more than 25 years of consulting expertise along with a SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type 2 compliant data center and specialization in IBM Power Systems and high-availability infrastructure.

CapNexus launches with a leadership team designed to support global growth and expansion across enterprise systems, cloud modernization, and AI-driven services. Marty Hendrickson has been elevated to Chief Executive Officer, while Tony Santiago has been appointed Managing Director and Global Head of AI and AWS Practice. Rich Hack has been elevated to Managing Director and Global Head of Sales for AI and AWS, Mark Stanford continues as President of Commerce Solutions, and Dawn Ross remains Vice President of Strategic Accounts. Andrew Miller and Rick Boretsky will lead Retail Implementation Services, and Mia Saks has been named Director of Marketing.

The company’s service portfolio includes strategic enterprise consulting, custom software development, systems integration and implementation, managed hosting and infrastructure, and global enterprise support services. CapNexus also operates as an AWS Advanced Tier Partner and provides enterprise-grade infrastructure services that meet compliance requirements including HIPAA and PCI DSS.

CapNexus said it plans to invest heavily in expanding AI and machine learning capabilities, deepening AWS competencies, accelerating software development frameworks, and enhancing integration and automation platforms. These investments are intended to help enterprise and retail clients modernize mission-critical systems and adopt next-generation digital capabilities.
