capSpire has acquired London-based FinTark, expanding the technology consulting firm’s capabilities across commodity trading, risk management, European energy markets and global metals.
FinTark provides commodity and energy advisory and technology services to investment banks, utilities and commodity-intensive corporations. Its consultants specialize in commodity trading and risk management technology, including work across DACH and Eastern European energy markets, financial trading and metals.
The transaction represents capSpire’s second acquisition of 2026 following its purchase of Lucido in May.
It is also capSpire’s most significant investment in its European business to date, adding consultants, customers and delivery capabilities across the region.
Since receiving a growth investment from Falfurrias Management Partners in July 2024, capSpire has increased its headcount by more than 30%, growing from approximately 300 to around 400 consultants operating across 20 countries.
FinTark expands that platform with additional expertise in metals trading technology, complementing capSpire’s existing capabilities across energy and agricultural commodities.
The addition of FinTark’s customers also broadens capSpire’s exposure across both commodities and capital markets.
capSpire helps energy, commodity and capital markets companies select, implement, optimize and support trading, risk and treasury technology.
The company operates as a platform-agnostic consultancy, advising customers across technology selection, implementation and ongoing support rather than centering its business on a single software vendor.
FinTark will bring additional European expertise and customer relationships to that model.
Keystone Law served as legal advisor to FinTark, while McGuireWoods advised capSpire.
