Captura Acquires Studio Source Yearbooks

By Amit Chowdhry ● Jan 7, 2026

Captura, a software ecosystem for high-volume photography studios, said it has acquired Studio Source Yearbooks, aiming to fold yearbook production support and operational execution into Captura’s platform and give studios a single workflow to manage yearbooks from setup through delivery.

Captura said the combination brings Studio Source’s yearbook operations model and administrative tools into the Captura ecosystem, covering yearbook setup, collaboration with schools, ecommerce, printing, and fulfillment. The company said the goal is to reduce administrative burden by limiting the need for multiple tools and manual coordination, while improving visibility into project status and providing hands-on support aligned to studio workflows.

The companies said Studio Source’s service and support will continue for existing customers, now backed by Captura’s technology investment and broader ecosystem. For Captura Yearbooks users, Captura said Studio Source adds an established operational dashboard and production support model to further streamline the yearbook lifecycle.

Captura said that over the coming months, the Studio Source Dashboard will begin connecting directly with Captura Yearbooks and Captura Workflow, creating a single command center for managing yearbook operations across school partnerships and projects. Additional updates are expected through 2026, according to the announcement.
