Global investment firm Carlyle has announced its acquisition of a majority stake in Adastra Group SE, a global IT consultancy specializing in data, cloud, and AI transformations, in partnership with its founders.
Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Prague and Toronto, Adastra supports clients throughout their data, cloud, and AI journeys. With a workforce of over 2,000 employees, the company caters to enterprise clients and has expertise in sectors like financial services, insurance, automotive, and retail.
Carlyle plans to enhance Adastra’s offerings and expand its international presence through organic growth and targeted mergers and acquisitions. Funding will be provided by Carlyle Europe Technology Partners V (CETP) and Carlyle Asia Partners Growth II (CAPG), both of which focus on high-growth technology investments. Carlyle will leverage its experience in scaling leading IT service companies globally.
