Carne Group Appoints Keshava Shastry Chief Capital Markets And Distribution Officer To Expand ETF And Private Markets Capabilities

Carne Group has appointed Keshava Shastry as Chief Capital Markets & Distribution Officer as the fund-services company expands its capabilities across ETFs, private markets, product structuring, distribution and tokenized financial infrastructure.

Shastry will join Carne’s Group Executive Committee and work across the organization as it executes a long-term strategy focused on helping investment managers launch products faster, access new markets and navigate increasingly complex regulatory and distribution environments.

Carne describes itself as Europe’s largest third-party management company, or ManCo, and a major provider of fund regulation and governance services.

The appointment comes as several parts of asset management converge.

ETFs, including active and thematic ETFs, continue to reshape public markets. Private assets are becoming accessible to broader groups of investors, while AI, data infrastructure and tokenization are changing how investment products can be structured, distributed and administered.

Shastry will focus on strengthening Carne’s capabilities across those areas while helping clients make decisions involving product design, market structure, regulation and investor access.

He brings more than two decades of international leadership experience spanning asset management, ETFs, trading infrastructure and capital markets.

Shastry joins Carne from First Abu Dhabi Bank, where he was Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Sales and served on the Global Markets Executive Committee.

He previously spent more than a decade at Deutsche Bank and DWS and served as Global Head of Capital Markets, managing trading ecosystem partnerships and working with investors on market structure, asset-allocation implementation and regulatory coordination.

Shastry has also served as Head of Capital Markets at Credit Suisse and led the iShares markets team at BlackRock and Barclays Global Investors. He previously chaired both the Investment Association’s ETF committee and the European Fund and Asset Management Association’s ETF task force.
