By Amit Chowdhry • Jun 13, 2026

Cars.com announced the appointment of Sarah Kettler as chief marketing officer, effective June 15, 2026. In the role, Kettler will lead the company’s integrated marketing and communications organization and will be responsible for strengthening the Cars.com brand, deepening customer engagement, driving growth, and supporting the company’s long-term strategic objectives.

Kettler joins Cars.com from ticketing marketplace SeatGeek, where she spent a decade in marketing leadership roles, most recently serving as executive vice president of marketing and communications. During her tenure, she developed a performance marketing organization that helped double consumer awareness, strengthen the platform’s value proposition for buyers and sellers, and support sustained growth in a highly competitive market.

Before joining SeatGeek, Kettler held strategy and communications positions at WME-IMG and Deloitte Consulting.

Cars.com said Kettler’s experience building marketplace brands and connecting buyers and sellers at scale aligns with the company’s efforts to strengthen its position in the automotive marketplace sector. The company operates a technology platform that connects millions of consumers with dealerships across the United States and offers AI-powered shopping tools, vehicle reviews, and marketing solutions for dealers and original equipment manufacturers.

Kettler joins the executive team at a time when artificial intelligence and other technologies are reshaping how companies engage with customers and market their products and services. She will help guide Cars.com’s next phase of growth as the company continues to expand its audience-powered and data-driven ecosystem.

Tobi Hartmann, CEO, Cars.com

“The opportunity to join Cars.com at this inflection point is incredibly compelling. We’re at an exciting moment where artificial intelligence and technology are rapidly changing how we can market, but the core of what Cars.com needs to do remains the same: Deliver confident shopping for consumers and enable efficient growth for dealers and OEMs. I look forward to building off the company’s strong foundation while helping drive the next chapter of growth.”
